why? i realy need to get some info, i dont have an hd tv yet but plan on getting one soon. which one offers better online gaming?
The online gaming community is larger with the the 360, however, the online gaming with the PS3 is free. Also, you can browse the web on the PS3 and not the 360.
As for watching movies on that HDTV, the 360 has a netflix app to allow you to stream movies at anytime through your 360 with a membership, which isn't pricey at all. AS for the PS3, you have a Blu-Ray player built in which will give you the best quality of video, and because of the bweb browsing capability you might even be able to browse to netflix and stream videos as you would from your computer.
And of course, the only reason I would go PS3 other than Blu-Ray is the game Little Big Planet.
So, if you're going for videos go PS3, if you want the better online play 360 is the way to go. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a bunch of friends who already have 360's and play online.
Hope this helped
360 is awesome but you have to pay for online gaming. PS3 PSnetwork is free. PS3 is a Blu Ray player, PS3 has Wifi, PS3 has Uncharted 2, 360 has Halo, Both systems are getting BioShock2. 360 been having allot of RROD (red ring of death) of late, PS3 just started showing issues with YLOD(yellow light of death)
Winner i would have to say PS3
if your a nerd, get a 360, if your cool, get a ps3 is basically what hes saying.
Really??
Come on, everybody always acts like gaming hasn't contributed anything to anybody. But you'd be very wrong. There are millions of girls that are into gaming! Plus authors, singers, songwriters and entrepreneurs alike all see gaming as a source of inspiration. Just think about all the Technology that goes into gaming, how could that not be important for future endeavors??
PS3 definitely, it does have netflix btw (You need a special disk they mail to you). Though I haven't played little big planet.
i actually just bought a ps3 on ebay (no i'm not op) and i got the 60 gig version cause it is the only ps3 that can play ALL ps 1 and 2 games, just fyi, i spent 370 including shipping for the console, 2 controllers, lil big plaent, mercinaries2 , a couple other ps3 games, 4 ps2 games, and hdmi, and a few games old downloaded on the hard drive, i'm incredibly happy with my purchase, and its supposed to get here tomorrow, and btw ps3 is actually advertising that it streams netflix, which i have.

YI bought the 60 GB version when i heard they were discontinuing that model. i knew that it's os was going to be the only one that was completely backwards compatible with all the older titles. I use it mainly for the ps1 and ps2 titles, if something comes out for both systems I op for the 360 version. Everyone forgets that it comes with a 3 year warranty against the RROD. To all those who bitch that you have to pay for xbox live need to stop being cheap asses. It's $60 for 12 months - talk about breaking the bank. That goes towards paying people to keep the service running a lot smoother than the PSN. If you check out the marketplace they run promotions on renewing and I got 12 months for $32 when MW2 launched. When it comes down the to HD aspect of it unless you have super vision you are not going to notice a difference.
24k gold PS3 starting at the low price of $4999.
The PS3 sucks for gaming. 360 is the only way to go. Don't kid yourself.
Everyone online talks about how the 360 is way better for gaming then the PS3. Don't be fooled by these perverted losers. Get the 360.
Get the 360 if you like being frustrated by hardware and dicked around by customer service. Get the PS3 if you want a solid investment.
