I was homeless too, but I never begged. I never acted as worthless as most of the scum out there. I lied about where my physical address was until I had a physical address, then problem solved. There are too many enabling bleeding hearts out there. They want you to feel sorry for them and give them a handout. I dont know about you, but I work for MY money and too much is taken from me via taxes to "help" scum like that and chain smoking welfare moms to begin with. Well, dipshit, I don't work in HR anymore. So I can't say if it's against the law now to verify physical addresses. However, I am aware that many places now require background checks that incorporate criminal, financial, educational and other histories, so you essentially give them permission to check into a number of issues about yourself. Signing the waiver is probably where such laws offer exception. Regardless, back in the day, it was *not* illegal to verify physical address information, and it was *commonplace* to do so. We also verified information with references, looked into their work history, asked for secondary references, and quite a bit more.

Have you ever driven on a road? Noticed those guys driving around in police cars dealing with crime or driving in fire trucks putting out fires? Where do you think the money comes from to pay for all of that, santa? It is taxes. So when people do not pay their share they get to enjoy those services for free basically.
As an example look at how communities let companies skip on their share of taxes to bring in a factory and "create" jobs. Guess who has to make up for those lost taxes. The people working those jobs. The ones who barely make enough to live on while the poor owners of the company get by on a mere 6 or 7 figures a year.

I always love how people point out the amount of tax they pay but NEVER how much they earn. Do you think that someone that makes 100 times what you do and pay 10 times as much in tax is paying to much? The rich pay more then than the working class because they make more duh. I then put the bottle down by the shifter. I put the fresh bottle in ny lap, drove out the same exit he was at and when i pulled up next to him looked at him and cracked the full bottle open. held it about 2 inches above my mouth and poored about 20 % into a good drink. then i twisted the cap back on and lowered the bottle towards the shifter and dropped it on the floor kicking it under the seat i grabbed the other bottle with piss in it and beeped the horn hit the window button and said im sorry, forgot my manors and handed him the bottle, he said thanks alot bro and cracked it open and i saw him downing it as i drove off.

I used to work in television news and we did a story about homeless people once. The thing I was surprised about was that a lot of "homeless" do beg for and want only money cause thats their job. One of the guys we profiled looked ragged and dirty and would usually be out on this particular corner for 3 or 4 hours almost every day. After his shift he'd walk back down the block to a parking garage, hop in his nissan sentra, and drive on back to his nice suburban house. We confronted him and talked him into doing an anonymous interview. He claimed that by begging he averaged between 300 and 400 dollars a day. He owned his home and car, had insurance, and with what he had saved after 10 years of begging was planning on retiring soon.
Funny part to me was (and he proved it) that he paid taxes each year.
I've always been torn between thinking this dude was scum and thinking he was one slick bastard who was getting rich easy.

Shreveport Louisiana. Ktal tv, the local nbc affiliate. I was photog for that one so it woulda been summer of 99 or 2000. The reporters name was lane stone. Don't remember the guys name offhand though. Only met him twice. Used to see him in his spot every now and then after the story ran, but never paid that much attention to him afterwards.
The story should still be in their video archive since they kept everything. Hell, they still had stuff from the 60's in the vault. Feel free to bring your snide ass on down and root through the vault for the story all you like. The archives are open to the public.

I read that Alpha wants the rich to pay the same percentage of taxes as the middle class. I'll even go farther than the other poster who said the top 1% pay 37% of the taxes. The top 10% pay 90% of the taxes!!! I don't see how anyone can ask them to pay more dollars when so many choose to use the govt. for their well being when they could work. Some really need assistance and we should be a kind people and help but many are abusing the assistance.
If the top earners pay 4% in taxes but in dollars it is 50 times the amount that a middle class person pays then they are helping 49 times more than that middle class person to pay for law enforcement, road maintenence, etc. Additionally these rich people are making jobs available to put more people to work which will further increase the taxes collected by the government.
Our problem is that to many people live off the govt. because they can, not because they have to.
