Jaycee Lee Dugard was given justice.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not moralizing. I'm not trying to tell you what pictures are legal and which aren't. I jerked to some fucking strange shit. You did, too. We can't change what we already did. Maybe we can prevent something awful in the future. You see, Dugard never had a chance. She was taken and she was mutilated. Her torture lasted for years. Maybe you get off on some bikini'd little ones. Maybe you'll never do more than look. Or maybe you just might be the next Garrido.
Philip Garrido was sentenced to 431 years in prison. Good fucking riddance. His wife was sentenced to 36. She probably won't live to see the end of it and I don't feel too bad about that.
Here's what Dugard herself had to say, in writing, prior to the sentencing: I chose not to be here today because I refuse to waste another second of my life in your presence. Everything you ever did to me was wrong, and I hope one day you will see that. I hated every second of every day for 18 years. You stole my life and that of my family. There is no God in the universe that would condone your actions. You do not matter any more.
Didn't end there. The point here, though, is that you are not beholden to your nature. Again, I'm not here to moralize. You've probably done some shit you were compelled to do, I don't care about that. Just don't ever bring your broken mentality to bear physically on another person. That's what I want to impress. We can choose to be better. We can choose to give in to temptation. I want a better life, and I hope you do, too.
