It sounds like you have placed your faith in people. My life sounds quite similar to yours. You cannot put your faith in people, because ultimately they will let you down. People are not perfect. Just because people have let you down even while you do righteous things does not make right any less right. Your very statements above make you prey to people who will disguise themselves as friends with understanding and an "enlightened" understanding which is selfish in nature. They will tell you that you should serve yourself and in essence, "Do as thou wilt" although this might be veiled in something less direct. Man, the answer is in Jesus Christ. I have my own battles and thus is why you find me here, but this does not take away from the loving power of the almighty God. Now you watch the criticism and disdain my comments receive and you compare it to the hate and careless nature you have already endured in your life and ask yourself if these are the kind of people who have their shit together...
