In March, don't buy any books, cd's, dvd's, movie tickets, etc. Let the media industry and the government know that we hold the power. Hit them in their profit margins and show them who's boss.

I've been unemployed because of Obamanomics for almost 3 years now. Thanks to the Liar-In-Chief, it'll be a "Black March" for me anyway.
I was going to suggest the same to everyone as you just did OP, but you beat me to the punch. I wonder if most people would? The ones who would however are not the money-grubbing butt-fucking fat Americans that drive their SUVs everywhere paying rancid prices for products made in China to satisfy their droll existences.

The media and the government do not make a profit from CD sales. This is the dumbest slacktivism idea yet.
I don't know about the rest of you, I have never downloaded pirated material, I may wait for it to be at bargain prices however. If the internet gets controlled I will not buy any music or movie or otherwise support the entertainment industry in any way. If most people did it, they may not loose any more profits then they are loosing to piracy but will be worth it for the principal of it.
