When I had unprotected sex, I was really angry. Looking in retrospective, I didn't think clearly. I was sick. Today I'm regretting it. However, I will not tell these girls if I have to spend time in prison. I know they serve harsh sentences for offenses I've commited. You've gotta see it from my side as well; I will have to spend 6+ years in prison if they manage to pin this on me. It's not my fault these girls were slutty and dumb. I shouldn't be punished for that. It's not like they don't know what STD is. When I went to Thailand I knew well enough what STD was, but I was stupid and that's life I've gotta live with it. I think the same applies for these girls, they were stupid as well.

The only difference is that I was smart enough to test myself. However, I'm feeling pretty bad for not telling them.

This is really hard for me and I don't expect help here, just thought it would be nice to get other's insight and thoughts on my dilemma.

If you didn't know you had the HIV then it's not criminal. If you knew you had the HIV and fucked them with out telling them you are positive then it is criminal.

Actually, I knew posting here was a dumb idea. I have no idea why I still did it. I will admit right away, that having unprotected sex was a very cruel thing to do. What is done is done and it doesn't help that I regret it today. The essence of my problem is: how can I get rid of my bad consciousness and at the same time avoid prison time.

I've more or less decided that I won't put myself in a way that gives me a prison sentence. During the next week, I will have a talk to a lawyer to hear what he has to say.

If you are fair dinkum about this, I have a solution. Grab a pistol, write your will, confess all � names and dates would be a good idea � just so the women can get some help. Place the pistol in your mouth (cocked and loaded), press the barrel on the roof of your mouth � as far back as you can go, just to the point you start gagging � now here is the important part, twist the weapon to your left so it is on a 35 degree angle or so, then pull the trigger.

Here is some real advice, send them a letter through mail with not return address with something that reads,

"It has come to my attention that I am HIV positive. I'm not sure how long I have been infected, but at any rate I would like to urge everyone I have had sexual relations with of any kind to seek HIV testing. Out of fear of my own safety I do not include my name or a way to contact me. I sincerely regret this whole scenario. I truly am sorry"

If you're not bullshitting us, I want those girls to get tested asap and this is a plausible root to get such done.

I guess you won't shot yourself, so this idea is a good fallback.

As you didn't know you were infected, you can't hold yourself responsible for infecting anyone else. The only person at fault is the girl that gave it to you, assuming she knew. (If not, then it's the person that gave it to her, and so on up the chain.)
You also aren't responsible for not using protection after you were infected. You didn't know. (In hindsight, protection probably would have been a good idea, but you can't do anything about it now, so forget about it.)

In any case, the ethical thing to do would be to inform them, if you can. You don't have to include your name or anything, like the poster two posts above this says. Just give a rough date, so they can inform anyone they need to also.

Well, if these 20 or so girls are that loose to have unprotected sex with a guy they hardly even know, you can bet half of them probably already had HIV before this guy came along anyway... or if not, it would have been the next HIV+ man to infect them.

In any case, there sure are a lot of judgmental motherfuckers that responded here. I wouldn't be so quick to pass judgment upon another man, if you haven't walked in his shoes.
