British guy here.

I don't really hear the whole thing about Barrack Obama... First everyone but the nigger haters love him. Now he's a communist and shit.

Can someone please explain to me (More than just a sentence like 'hes a nigger' why he's fallen from favour so much? Isn't it pretty much just because of his health plans? Because we've got those in the UK, the NHS... And well... It's kinda fucking brilliant :D

So yeah, anyone? Cheers :)

He's done next to nothing to help the economy, while at the same time continuing to rack up the largest budget deficit in history. He attempted to raise taxes, has increased the size of government, and broken nearly ALL of his election promises.

You folks are very very lucky to have a hero of fiscal restraint like David Cameron. I'm ashamed to say that our Canadian neighbours have it figured out with the strongest economy in the G8.

Cameron is a fucking bombaclot. Very unpopular prime-minister. I guarantee he will be voted out in the next election. I guess, being a Conservative, you would like him though.

and not a peep out of you when the GOP was running up record deficits and playing around with the books, i.e. not adding the costs of the wars to the budget, huh? dumbass republicans always think they know what's best for the economy.

If you looked at his campaign there was a lot of generalities eg Hope & Change. He avoided a lot of the specifics. Now he actually has to govern. He also done a complete 180 on several issues such as the repeal of the patriot act.

I think that was always his plan. Run left-ish, govern center-right. It will be interesting to see how he attempts to position himself in 2012.

I think Hillary Clinton said once that you campaign in poetry, but you govern in prose.

I don't think Obama's a bad p********, but he's been given a terrible job. GFC, Iraq, Afghanistan, CO2 emissions, health care, education, national deficit... the expectations that were placed on him were sky high, and people actually believed he could deliver on everything. America's pretty much ungovernable - the Founding Fathers went out of their way to dilute power, and it takes remarkable circumstances to galvanise the disparate branches of government into a cohesive whole.

Obama's mistake was to inspire the people to imagine a government which wasn't stocked with partisan, self-serving politicians. And to appeal to said politicians' better selves.

I'm sorry but Obama wasn't given a terrible job. He ran for the office he applied for the job, the expectations were those that he gave to the employers (the people) when he applied for the job. We didn't expect perfection but he's failed to live up to all of his expectations. As far as I'm concerned we should have fired him over his illegal actions in Lybia. Your correct the founding father diluted the power on purpose and by inflating our government and disregarding our senate he is effectively trying to dismantle everything that they built. However, thankfully, this is a mistake that we will not be repeating.

People are so fucking ignorant, Obama inherited a whole bunch of things including the biggest deficit this country has ever known from the Bush years (billions in war deficit, hurricane damage, ect). So great was the misdeeds of 8 years, that 4 years would not be enough to fix anything, let alone change a totally corrupt government. Currently the p******** has little to no control over big government, although the scapegoat teabaggers(tea Party) who are incidentally run by rich political extremists to use propaganda, and lies to cover up their own selfish goals. The US government unfortunately has their hands in the pockets of lobbyists who control, and manipulate the everything from the stock market, fiscal policy, and rights of the people because of greed. The whole system is out of whack, and it will take decades to fix not just 4 years, and cry or gripe as you may but no one man can fix a broken system which took 40 years to corrupt. You can blame Mr. Teflon himself Ronald Regan for the beginning to the end, as he was the one who ushered in the wealthy's greed, and the downslide of the middle class into oblivion.

I never liked Obama. I voted McCain, but if Clinton had won the Democratic nomination, I would have voted for her.

My single biggest reason was because of his healthcare reform plan. An income-tax penalty for not having health insurance? Come-on. A single-payer system I could get behind, but not Obama-care.

Then there is the issue that he has backed down on pretty much every single campaign promise. No climate act. Sending MORE troops into Iraq/Afganistan. PATRIOT Act. The list goes on.

Oh, and BTW, I railed against Bush's idiocy for 8 years as well, for the wars and his running up huge deficits.

He sold out my health care to corporate interests, he increased spending on our pointless wars to enrich corporate interests, he openly mocks actual liberals and has let them know that pot smoking hippies are not welcome in his administration, and he's basically to the right of Reagan in all policies. Fuck him. I'll never vote for a Republican because they're even worse, but if I even bother to vote it will be for a write in true left candidate. I see little difference between a Democrat giving my future away to corporations and the ultra rich versus a Republicunt doing the same.
