So I'm happy to 'risk' offending a non-existant deity just the same as I'm happy to risk not walking round my house in a wire cage with oxygen mask and shovel on standby if the shitfest happens.
No, sadly what sucks is that I'm almost certainly correct. It sucks just how many people truly believe in a deity that happens to be popular in their locality, culture or family.

You mean you actually pay attention to something minor like empirical evidence? Why bother when you can simply believe something's true because you want it to be or have had it indoctrinated into you since a small age? Like faith? Or do you use evidence when it suits you and discard it when it's uncomfortable or contrary to your beliefs and needs?
No, 'incapable of reading' was correct - I'm saying you chose to ignore my comments rather than failed to understand them. Dogmatism. So you can't say the same.
I'm saying that whether or not a god exists it still sucks. Big time. I'd much rather there wasn't a god than there was some sick fuck like the one in the Bible. Or the Koran. Or am I only supposed to care about what happens to me and mine? Is fear of reprisal such a central tenet of belief?

and u cant simply generalize religion by the wars it starts. there are religions that encourage war, and there are religions that dont, and in both, all religions have had their followers encourage wars nonetheless. there are religions that suggest direct punishment in life for blasphemy, there are religions that state punishment in the afterlife, and there are religions and or just people who suggest punishment for blasphemy in both cases. i hate the generalizations on what defines religion, religion is more complex, but in its entirety is really so simple. its up to the people to determine what they think is real or fake and right or wrong, but the overall answer lies in if or what religion in the end is true.
