Actually, Britain is only England and Wales. It is Great Britain that is England, Wales and Scotland (and not Northern Ireland).

That's nonsense. Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales. Full title of Great Britain is just to distinguish it from Brittany. (Grande-Bretagne / Petit-Bretagne)
