OP's comments, and most of the others in this thread, are refreshingly sane.

To Catch A Predator was an incredible experiment in social manipulation. they took a certain mindset - pedophilia is a crime - and insisted that it was the the social norm, stripped it of any nuance of doubt and put it in stark contrast to how good citizens behave.
then they went HUNTING for pedophiles. the set out DECOYS and LURES. they STALKED THEIR PREY for months at a time. they set elaborate TRAPS to CAPTURE the creature and bring it into the bright light so everyone could see just how vile and utterly repulsive this bottom dweller is....

oh wait...who is supposed to be the predator?

"Think the audience will really fall for that, Jim? I mean come on, its a little far fetched."

"Oh I think they will, John. Remember how hard they all fell for the 9/11 explanation??"

its worse than witch hunts because now modern technology and media can saturate the entire world with a single idea in a minute. the bandwagon has gotten huge and now is bristling with weapons aimed ant anyone who wont jump on. the outlook is dismal.

when you're talking about love and desire and sexual attraction there is NO black and white, its all shades of grey
