My confession is that my LDS girlfriend is going on her Mission. She's going to Baltimore Maryland, and I hope it kicks her ass.
No really. This girl grew up in white Mormon suburbia in the 90's. She knows NOTHING about real life. She's 22 years old and is one of the most easily offended people I know. You can just see the wheels turn in her head. "Should I be offended by that? yes? Okay. I'm offended."
Do I care about her? Yes, We have a lot in common, she's beautiful, funny, clean, and all around a fairly okay person to be around. But she doesn't understand ANYTHING about dealing with people in the real world, and realizing that you have to get out there and screw up a little to grow up.
Does this make sense to anyone else?

religion asks you to believe things that can never be proven (basically most of the bible), in order to receive rewards that can never be seen. you're expected to do all this out of a fear of ending up in one imaginary place over another(heaven/hell) , and you have to even have imaginary feelings (faith) to achieve imaginary goals (salvation) all the while telling you that the things we can actually see and prove (science) are lies.

I fucking dated a Mromon chick on and off for over 2 years. They are FUCKED up 'cause it's all about the church and what they are 'supposed' to do. Mine was a "free thinking" punk rock type, but when it all comes down to it, what the church says goes. The whole family all just leach off the old man, and are all lazy fucks (my ex must have been adopted) who have NO FUCKING IDEA who things really work 'cause they are all on social assistance and sucking off daddy.... i served a mission as well. great experience and i always noticed that the guys who began to loath the church were the lazy ones or the ones who realized that they were wastes of space. so all u guys that talk about "my mission pres hated me" can just go cry urselves to sleep. get over urself.
