I confess, I was about to post a confession, a hot one. Maybe it was true, maybe it was fantasy, maybe a combination of the two. But then I saw the thread about the people whose life was rudely interrupted by LEA over fantasy chat, and I was afraid to post. Their unlawful persecution leaves me feeling somewhat less at liberty to express myself freely.

Okay, read the article.. the arrest wa sover the weapons, they are, or rather he is, being investigated over the claims in chat... which included saying they were having sex with minors and taking pictures and video of it. In this case, the LEA officials involve dmade the right call. They seized various things from the dude's office at the job with UNC he no longer has (the weapons were on campus and against the laws)andhis home. The chat came from his office, so the woman hasn't been charged... the "fantasy chat" did not result in him being arrested and charge dwith anything, just being investigated...the arrests and charge sto date was the weapons on campus.
They are not being unlawfully persecuted, the laws allow for such investigations to happen... and ha snothing to do with your ability to express yourself freely. You can say what you want and express yourself however you wnat to still, but as is the case and it has always been, step outside of certain boundaries, you can be investigated and face criminal chargers. That boundary is usually where someone else's rights began, in the man's case above, the children supposedly involved in everything. If you decide to express yourself, for instance by saying "I'm the guy who's been dumping those bodies off that highway near NYC... " (I'm not just an example)and give enough details to lead an LEA official to believe and the judge and others who sign off on such, that you might just be involved, they'll investigate you as well. This guy made claims about illegal actions, but failed to say it was a fantasy or such... plus he gave actual real information that allowed them when they found him to match him to things... but even worse from UNC's perspective.. he wa sbringing wepaons on campus and using work to view pron and carry on these chat sections...yeah, he deserve dit and they ha dthe right to do it.
If you don't like the laws and etc.. then take political action with others to elect those who will change them, if not.. then oh well, you're stuck with them.
