OP: well at first I thought it sounded pretty good. The lows suck and mids were lacking, highs were crisp but, the fucking problems started. The volume knob was screwy, you had to turn it half way to get the sound working let alone you have no idea what level its at. Most of the time when turning on my PC it wouldnt even detect the system. Tried 2 other computers.

Bose tech support said just unplug and replug. I shouldn't have to do that for a $400 system. And last, the sound would drop at random times. Fuck that.. What a piece of shit. But now WHAT SYSTEM SHOULD I GET? I was looking at the klipsch 2.1 pro media one on amazon.com

honestly its not that Bose makes shit systems, its just they cost too damn much and dont meet the expectations of what experienced sound engineers want.
its all hype.

if they cost 1/3 of the price they go for, i wouldn't mind having one for casual listening.

yes I agree. $400 for 2.1 system.... yikes.. okay technically its a 2.1 supposed to sound like 4.1. the companion 5 any way.

What about Creative speakers or Cambridge Sound Works? I just need a simple 2.1 set up for my PC. But the Klipsch looks good and Mirage for my future purchase.
