I’m not sure why you used people dying in trenches as an example of “better people”. Do you think they were more loyal? Were the convictions they had more fierce? Was it that they were just more foolish? It seems you realize that it was not in the best interests of those soldiers to die in those trenches.
I think what you see is what other people want you to see. I don’t think anything has changed in regards to nature of people. Technology has advanced but those are mearly tools. The problems facing society today are facets of the same problems we’ve always faced.
Don’t blame the desires of other people when your unrealistic desires fail to come fruition. Or do, idgaf. It seems to me though, if you intend to get mad at everyone that does stupid shit, you will be angry all the time.
