I recently got back from Iraq 4 months ago. I was stationed in Baghdad we were on a normal patrol and A squad was pinned down by small arms fire from a 2 story building. As soon as I got the grenades off the saw gunner popped back in and we continued clearing out the house there were 3 people in the first room to the left I shot one Sgt Madison shot one and the other surrendered. The second room was clear. We made are way to the back room where I threw the grenades I ran in and saw one dead man with and ak47 near is right arm. One woman face down in a puddle of blood. A child no older than 5 laying against the counter with his head at a downward angle and blood leaking out his mouth, and about 5 feet to the left of the woman was a baby it was very young looking. I looked down into its eyes as it laid there covered in blood not moving. Then we left the house and continued out patrol where I got 4 more confirmed kills that day, but I will never forget when I looked into the eyes of that baby knowing I killed it, and knowing it was just because one man was trying to protect its family. I personally am against the war in Iraq not because its stupid that were over there or anything like that, but the fact that men do these things and have to live with it the rest of there lives. Nobody but me Sgt Madison and the rest of that squad know about that day.

When officers collared Steven Ferrini on a drug charge, a search of the 60-year-old suspect turned up "a suspicious wire, with an on/off switch" in his pants pocket. "The wire was found to extend from the pant pocket to the subject's anus," according to a CHP report, a copy of which you'll find here. Though Ferrini claimed that the wire was connected to an anal vibrator, officers became suspicious when he subsequently "began to explain his knowledge of explosives and bomb making." So they called in El Dorado County's "explosive ordinance disposal" team and, at 5:45 AM, evacuated "all unnecessary personnel" from the CHP's South Lake Tahoe office. At about 9 AM, the bomb squad "rendered the device safe" and determined it was not dangerous. The report does not indicate why more than three hours passed before the vibrator was found not to be an explosive device. Well...since the two men actually survived.....He was sentenced to 11 years.
