Here's my request. X-ray things yourself. I'm even going to teach you how to do it.
In fact, share your before and after images below. I might even give you some more advice on how to do things. Who knows, maybe some of the x-ray gods on here that put me to shame might deign to share some of their skills
Alright. I lied before and said that I was only going to tell you how to do this once. This time I'm serious. I won't suffer any fools who don't read this whole wall-o-text and learn well. I'm not going to repeat myself, so pay attention.
X-raying doesn't show anything that isn't already there. It's all a matter of drawing out distinctions captured in the image that aren't visible to the eye. It's about taking a subtle difference between two pixels and exaggerating it until you see what you want to see.
Turn on all the lights in your parents' basement and grab a few t-shirts out of your hamper. I want you to look through a single layer of the material. See a bit of the room around you? That's right, there's some light slipping between the weave of the material. See how the light cottony stuff is easier to see through? That's because there's more light getting through it.
Turn down the lights, you mouth-breathing basement dweller, back to the darkness you feel most comfortable in. Despite being easy to see around you in that low light, you see next to nothing through those garments now.
See, what you're looking to tease out of the image for that x-ray effect is the light that passed through the cloth, bounced off of the skin, and made it back out again. If the photo was taken with a bright light, such as the sun, behind the camera, it'll work better. If your crush who you can't talk to because the last time you did your heavy breathing creeped her out likes to wear bras, you're fresh out of luck. Two layers of fabric, and you're not seeing anything.
Patterns? You aren't going to see anything but the pattern. Textures? Same deal. Shiny material? Everything gets lost to glare. Swimwear? Double-layered from the factory to prevent your preversions. That right, you prevert.
Really, really bright material? Saturated camera sensor, and nothing to see.
Now, assuming a solid color, a single layer of material, and a bright light source at the right angle, you might just be in luck.
Because the program is free and you don't want to spend too much of your allowance money, let's use GIMP.
It suits you.
Use the magic wand tool or freehand selector to select only the material you want to see through. The smaller an area you select, the better your chances. The dark shadows as the material wraps around her body (like you wish you could) only reduces the effectiveness of the x-ray. You want to stay focused on what you want to see. Try to only select an area that seems flatly uniform in appearance. Don't bring into selection things like necklaces, logos on the shirt, or other such things.
Now, in the colors menu, select curves. See the histogram? See the high points? See where it trails off? That's where you'll find the subtle differences that show where her nipples (yes, I said nipples) are! Adjust the sliders under the curve so they rest just outside of where much of anything shows up on the histogram. At this point you'll see if there's anything worth seeing.
Screw around there, because you aren't screwing anywhere else, and get things as visible as you can. Then close that, and open hue-saturation from the colors menu. Adjust the hue until it's as close as you can get it to her skin color. Now adjust down the saturation until she no longer looks like she's had a bad spray tan on her tits. Now adjust the brightness until it closely matches her exposed skin.
Ta-fuckin-da. You've done an x-ray.
