@Mariemm Yes, it has a French look to it. Did you know that before the slant was added to the blade, the "straight" blade could take several attempts before full decapitation was achieved?
I'm struggling to find a manga titled "Innocence" but it's quite a popular title! You don't mean "Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence" do you?

@Mareten Apologies if you thought I was saying that it had no place in cinema. Quite the opposite in fact, it's definitely one of my preferred genres and I think its the perfect media for it.
Yes, I'm aware of violence being in art from it's early origins. Cave paintings of hunts, Aztecs and their human sacrifice carvings, so many paintings of the crucifixion....all worthy of being recorded for the benefit of future generations.
