Yes G.W. did some things that were costly. But, Clinton had the internet boom which helped make the economy flourish. His tax hikes were countered by the opening of the credit unions. Which in turn allowed people the ability to live well above their means, created the housing boom, then when it collapsed folks where left with nothing. All the borrowed funds were not re-couped thus starting the recession we occured. Now in defense of Bush, I think his idea to lower the upper taxes was to stop the bleeding. His wars were and are still costly. OB has not done much to fix it. Hence my stance that he is a failure for not overturning any of said bad policies. Now until folks stop allowing this administration to quit using the last one as a scapegoat and fix problems instead of finger point it will be known as a failure. Atleast it will to any person who believes integrity and accoutability are rellevent. OB said hisself if he can't fix the economy in 3 years he doesn't deserve a second term.

That is what I was trying to get through to that thick skulled anon poster. It isn't about which party is better, neither is doing a good job at fixing the problems at hand. So let me ask you Hatter do you see my point that raising taxes on people starting at 200,000 doesn't seem right when in terms of inflation and the cost to run a business that is kinda chump change. Your charts and the numbers I posted both show that if something isn't done properly then we are gonna suffocate any gains being made or can be made.

The point is saying people who make 200,000 or more should not get a tax break is not gonna help the economy. Alot of small businesses are barely making ends meet as it is. I am not oppose to a tax hike on the upper echleons but I feel that is to low of a ceiling. Maybe if it was a proposal on those who make over 500,000 would seem to be a fairer starting point. Don't tell me I need not worry about not having a job in today's economy. If you are walking around carefree and oblivious to the real world then I feel bad for you.

Already did, shot them down with common sense and all you can do is name call. Now post some proof not your opinion. That is what i did when creating this thread. If you would like I can walk you through how to find facts. It is ok that you do not know how not everyone has that kind of a niche.

I am not for or against Romney. Do you people even read? If you have factual proof against what I posted then feel free to share. Calling me brainwashed is only you trying to divert the subject. Now either post some fact to back your claim or shut up.

Bruce Josten, Executive Vice p******** for Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber:
"If the 2001 and 2003 tax rates are allowed to expire at midnight 12/31, we'll witness the largest single tax hike in history. Hitting tax payers with $400 billion in new taxes the first year, and $4.5 trillion over the next decade.

Marginal tax rates, as well as dividends and capitol gains taxes, will rise. This will squarely hit tax payers ranging from the investors who pour capitol into job creation, to retirees and workers planning to retire.

The estate tax will come roaring back to 55%, and the exemption threshold will dip from $5 million estates to $1 million. Threatening the livelihood of many small businesses and family farms. In addition to the 2001 and 2003 tax rates, relief from the alternative minimum tax will lapse, along with many vital business tax provisions.

Unfortunately, earlier this week the Senate voted to raise taxes on small businesses, a bad idea according to Josten.

"Many of these businesses could see their top tax rates rise from 35% to nearly 45% and a heavier tax burden on our nation's job creators will have a chilling effect on hiring and expansion."

Josten also doesn't ignore the automatic spending cuts that will take effect:

"the ill-designed, across-the-board discretionary spending cuts- a result of the failed Deficit Supercommittee- were never intended to take effect.

If they do, they will disproportionately cut $500 billion in military spending. What's worse, they will fail to address the real drivers of runaway spending- MASSIVE and GROWING ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS.

Amen to that brother. If the government takes away our right to guns, they will essentially continue on the path of complete destruction of our rights as American's under the laws of the constitution. Another way of looking at it is if this was to happen, other countries would see us as a easy target. People must realize that having access to firearms allows us the freedom of invasion on a certain level. Think about it, not only do we have a strong military, we have citizens who own and know how to use these weapons. I believe in my opinion this is a strong deterrent against countries from even considering attacking us on our own soil.

Although you make valid points, and in a perfect world it would be concievable. We don't live in such a world and very well never will. To many rich folk are greedy and to many poor folk are needy. So we have what we have now and what continues to become worse. If the world was a video game that you could reset and do over it should've been done about ten years ago. I don't believe we the people who are here now will see such tranquility. It is a shame really, because we have the tools and resources needed to accomplish the task. Until common people make a stand, our society will continue to spiral.

You started out good then ruined it with the exact racist bs the government wants you to think. Let's be honest, what is the easiest way to control the masses? Division. If racial division in our country continues, it is easy for the government to use it against us to keep the people from rising. They no that race, class, and social division gives both sides the ability to blame a group of people and get their followers to believe. They also know that without racism and class envy. People would be more apt to stand together and overthrow them. The folks you should hate are the ones pulling the strings. Not the average person regardless of ethinicity.

The truth Hatter? That is the point, we don't know the truth yet that is the problem. Innocent until proven guilty right? Your problem is you think if someone disagrees with your POV that they are conservative. You also think your news sources are the only legit one's on the planet. I'm beginning to realize why you get so angry at the one you call conservtroll. It's because you are just like his ass lol. I am not saying MR is innocent or not, but you have to look at all the facts you have instead of the ones that suit your side.
