Well if your fairly well off there is always the option to pay for a friend... I'm sure many would jump at the chance to hang out with you for a few bucks, if you don't want to go down that road then drugs might help, you'll be laughing and joking with yourself in no time and will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about. Plants also are good for talking with, one way conversation right enough but at least they listen.
