I'm disturbed by just how dumb this country has become. Foreigners are typing and talking better than we are. Most people use "there", "they're" and "their" interchangably, using apostrophes where none are proper and not using them when necessary. In the epitomy of laziness and ineptitude, you even prefer to shorten 3 letter words to 2, and given another year, will even misspell "to". congrats to the newest generation of trash fresh out of high school, you've become the most illiterate population on earth...

I presume that you mean the US. Doubtless it's not the most illiterate population on Earth, but certainly there are a lot of undereducated people, whose ignorance is compounded by their lack of awareness of their ignorance. There's probably no hope for it, because, instead of raising our educational standards, we appear to be poised to gut our system of public education. We're well on our way to being a second-rate nation.

Nothing is wrong with public education, it is the youth who refuse to learn on their own. I used to read books and figure shit out for myself, today kids get pissed off at how slow their internet connection is when they're googling a word to get a definition because they cannot look it up in a dictionary. So dumb they can't find a word in alphabetical order. Pithetic....absolutely pithetic. They've become a generation of imbeciles. Every other word out of their mouths are "huh?" or "wha?"

That which is being said is more important than the way it's said.

Perhaps, but if you lack the ability to say what you want to say, it doesn't get said.

I studied French in school. We learned that the French used the term "d'accord" in much the same was as we use "okay".

So, I travel to France. I use the French language exclusively. But I'm the only asshole saying "d'accord". All the Frogs are saying "okay".
