BP is mostly american now 6 of the board are american 6 british , 10.000 british employees 20,000 american , and what you have to remember is in order to pass every part of the drilling process the american gov has to approve requistion order to go on to next stage and be satisfied alls safe , so you have to wonder why they shout so loud , prob because obama got suckerd by his own

Better get your facts straight before posting. BP is still a majority UK corporation, though the gap is but 1% difference between the UK and the US. But, there is a 7% European ownership, so if that is factored in, it's clearly a European majority. As for BP, during well construction, having to get things "passed by the US" again, your facts are wrong. The well was built by a Swiss company, "Transocean" and was registered under the flag of the country Majuro, Marshall Islands. As such, they were not obligated to confirm to US laws for both construction or safety operations.

Do you realize that the oil trapped in the marches along the US shore on the Gulf will be there for over a hundred years. Our fishing industry is virtually non-existent because of this catastrophe.
