I confess I read and watch the news daily secretly hoping and waiting to see some massive catastrophe; something that will make 9/11 or the 2004 tsunami seem pale in comparison.

I've always a bit of a nihilist myself. I secretly wish that something so catastrophic would happen that society as we know it would break down. Maybe then, for a few brief shining moments the pervs and scoundrels would have free reign and could show everybody some real fun!

I think that's more "dadaism" or just insanity, not nihilism.

I would love an EMP to come along and take this world back a century or two.

I confess that I hope, after reading this, that you are involved in said catastrophe.

Im not OP, but the risk of being killed in a truly world changing catastrophe wud be worth it! If I bit the dust, I'd be rooting on all the raping, pillaging, and general mayhem!

Actually what I am sincerely HOPING for is the impact of a 50 meter diameter ball of nickle-iron, traveling at 20 Km per second on January 21st of 2013. Impact co-ordinates should be Latitude 38.893625 and Longitude -77.022806. Time of impact at local noon. That should take care of ALL of our problems!

Ideally there would be simultaneous, identical impacts at Latitude 31.777896, Longitude 35.235665 and also at Latitude 21.422325, Longitude 39.826158.

OP, do you think those 3 impacts would be a big enough disaster to float your boat?

If I in any way thought this could be accurate, I'd start partying now and not stop til the end!
