I am so fucking pissed off and angry!!! Part 4 of 4
North Philadelphia is considered a "low income area." And it's sometimes described as "crime ridden."
but i was very happy to be there! The food is fantastic! :) Vietnamese, Korean, Puerto Rican, Irish, Portugal and a host of wonderful foods to eat. :) Enjoyed it very much. :)
So one time i went to the wonderful food truck on the corner that i went to regularly. A young man there ran the food truck. I was a very regular customer. He was always in a great mood, friendly and i enjoyed being his customer. Going to his food truck was always a pleasure. :)
But on this day he was very distraught. He was very upset. And he was very loud!!! He screamed out "He is not Muslim!! He is not Islam!! This is not Islam!!"
He was not screaming at me. But he was just very emotional.
This was September, 2001. A day or two after the attacks.
He then went on to explain, in so may words, that he, his mother, father, and all of his people are good people. Good hard working people who don't do horrible things.
And in the brief 12 months in which i've grown to know him, I have absolutely no doubt. No reason to doubt this young hard working man who cooks my food. I fully believe him.
I would also like to explain that my mother, father, and all of my people are good people. I’m very proud of our connetion to north Philadlephia.
