i have this old laptop of mine that broke and some of the parts are scavengable to say the least. i'd have a perfectly good built in camera from it and was wondering if there was some how a way i can use it as a spy device. does anyone know how i can set it up somewhere and receive data from it to another computer somehow? anyone ever tried to do this b4? make a spy camera from spare parts? and build it from scratch?

You don't sound like you know one end of a screwdriver from the other. Technology is complicated.

op here... i can only think of one way and i have seen it done b4. if this laptop is upgradable, and compatable, i could make an extension and run it from a-b and connecting the two from a distance. gonna take my laptop apart and see if it possible. gonna try using a phone line to connect the two. that would rase less suspicion.

op back.. just opened my comp up and it is not compatible with any webcam, internally anyways. it would have worked if so. i'll just have to shop for a wireless camera with a live feed.
