@PandyFackler Hmm, I could see that. You'd get the vibrations from switching it on. I've got a Norelco, but it's shaped a lot differently b from that- it's the kind where the blades are contained in 3 spinning discs. Hers looks like one where maybe the blade moves from side to side.

@Inquisitive1 Ah! I see you are an inquisitive one indeed. It appears to me to be an electric hair trimmer with the head mechanism removed, inserted handle end first. One of the smaller trimmers, like what is marketed toward beard and moustache (male) or leg and underarm (female.)

Popular brands over the years have been Philips/Norelco, Wahl, Conair, Braun, and Panasonic. Awkward corded models have transitioned over recent years to units with rechargeable batteries.
