In the fall I'll be in my third year of college and she'll be starting college, but I'll get to that later. I'll try to sum up our relationship from the beginning: we were kind of typical siblings when we were younger. Being a boy, I couldn't relate to her all that much... we had different friends, were interested in different things, and only really hung out together when we did things as a family. Within a year or so, we were close. Anyway, all this made me want to keep spending time with her, and I even found myself wishing she weren't my sister, because she was exactly the sort of girl I'd want to go out with.
Fast forward another year. We're on our annual family vacation, on our way to our main vacationing spot. It was a two-day trip, so the first night required a stay in a small hotel that was on the way. Before we got there, my dad had said that he booked two adjoining rooms, but each room only had one king bed. He said the hotel could probably bring in one of those rolling, unfolding beds for us, but I told him it was okay. (Side-note: I almost always sleep better on hard surfaces. Even when I was little, I often preferred to sleep on the floors of hotels, as the beds were too soft and I couldn't sleep. When it was time to stay at the hotel that night, I was dragging a pillow and blanket onto the floor for myself when my sister laughed at me and told me I should just sleep on the bed. But she insisted that I might as well try it, since it was more than big enough for two people, and I could always go to the floor if I didn't like it. I agreed that it was worth a shot, and just like that I found myself sleeping next to her in bed.
Now, this in and of itself was not weird or problematic. We weren't even touching, and she falls asleep a lot quicker than I do. However, much later that night, I awoke to find myself cuddled up against her, my mouth at her neck. It took me a moment to realize what had happened, since I'd obviously been asleep, but I was horrified at the idea that I'd been unconsciously kissing her. I was praying I was wrong, and for one long minute I just stayed there, frozen, hoping she'd roll over or something. Then, almost like a dream, I felt her nuzzle up against me and whisper...

I had only kissed one girl before, so I didn't even know if I was doing it well, but I held her in the kiss, trying my best to make her happy. Neither of us broke the kiss, and it gradually developed into one long make-out session. I can't tell how long it lasted, but it felt like it was hours. We were both inexperienced, but I knew we had almost perfect chemistry; it was like we knew what we both liked, and I couldn't have imagined anyone being better.
