I threw mine away cause it never did anything, I thought it was me but glad to know it is normal. Now I just use a butt plug.

Most of the time mine felt like it was almost lost in there after it sunk in, just too small to really give me pleasure. The slight buzzing felt nice, but not full on orgasmic like have a regular sized vibrator. I would get some pleasure when it was pulled out or also I enjoyed having it in when I would go grocery shopping or other places in public, but that might have been more driven by the rush of being in public, having conversations with women while knowing that I had my egg up my ass. Vibrating plugs definitely give more pleasure than the egg for me. Never tried an egg, but I know anal beads feel really good if you keep pulling them in and out, so maybe try that instead?
