@Teagan8 I also play a little with climbing. And we know about a possibility of blood clots from cut off circulation. It is a part of a training when you rescue a person hanging in harness. But the danger of this happens after some time. Usually at least 15 minutes of harness pressure on main veins in legs. And if you rescue such person and put it on a ground, you can't free them from a pressure instantly. But clots don't happen instantly.

Your assumption about time is correct, if strangling cuts off blood circulation. Then yes, a loss of consciousness happens in seconds. I know that from personal experience, I was practicing Judo. And I choked out a guy once during training, Not a fight, just simple practice of a choke. If it's done correctly, putting pressure on neck veins.

This is stupid, and even stupider trying it. Thankfully, it's obviously fake. It only takes 6–12 seconds to lose conciseness from something like this. With a 65% to 75% chance of a Blood-Clot of developing. You might as well spare everyone the cost of a trial and time, and just drive yourself to the newest prison where you'll be spending the rest of your life for manslaughter.
